Asian Games: Jyothi Surekha, Chikita Rao and Preethika Secure Medal in Compound Archery

India has secured a medal in the women’s compound archery team event at the Asian Games. The Indian trio of Jyothi Surekha Vennam from Vijayawada, Chikita Rao from Peddapalli and Preethika from Maharashtra produced a thrilling performance in the semifinal against Korea. The Indian archers held their nerve in a closely contested encounter and registered a narrow 234-233 victory.

With the semifinal win, the Indian team has advanced to the final and guaranteed at least a silver medal in the event. The result marks another significant achievement for Indian compound archery at the Asian Games, with the trio now set to compete for the gold medal.
