Ravindra Jadeja has scripted history in the first Test between India and Sri Lanka. The Indian all-rounder completed 350 Test wickets after dismissing Sri Lankan batter Keshara Nuwantha. Having made his Test debut in 2012, Jadeja reached the landmark in his 90th Test. He is now the fifth Indian bowler to claim 350 or more wickets in Test cricket.
Jadeja follows Anil Kumble with 619 wickets, Ravichandran Ashwin with 537, Kapil Dev with 434 and Harbhajan Singh with 417. He has also become only the fourth cricketer in Test history to achieve the rare combination of 4,000-plus runs and 350-plus wickets. Jadeja joins Kapil Dev, Ian Botham and Daniel Vettori in this elite club.
