

Indian sprint star Animesh Kujur has achieved another historic milestone by producing the fastest-ever 100-metre performance by an Indian athlete on foreign soil. Competing in the Puma Fast Arms–Fast Legs 2026 Athletics Meet, Kujur completed the men's 100m final in an impressive 10.14 seconds, setting a new benchmark for Indian sprinting at an international venue. The timing also stands as his personal best, highlighting his remarkable progress on the global stage.
With this performance, Animesh Kujur registered the second-fastest men's 100m timing in Indian athletics history, trailing only Gurindervir Singh's national mark of 10.09 seconds. His achievement further strengthens India's growing presence in international sprinting and reflects the rising standards of Indian athletics ahead of future global competitions.
