

The Andhra Premier League (APL) 2026 is set to commence on June 9, with matches scheduled across Visakhapatnam, Kadapa, and Mangalagiri. Announcing the details at a media conference in Vijayawada, Andhra Cricket Association President and Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath and ACA Secretary Sana Satish Babu said the tournament is being expanded beyond Visakhapatnam for the first time. The opening match will be held in Visakhapatnam, while the grand finale is scheduled for June 30 in Mangalagiri.
A total of seven teams will participate in the tournament. The first phase of matches will be played in Visakhapatnam, followed by the second phase in Kadapa and the final stage in Mangalagiri. The organizers also announced free stadium entry for students to encourage greater participation and interest in cricket. Additionally, flash mobs will be organized across the three regions to create awareness about the tournament. The Andhra Cricket Association said the league aims to identify and nurture emerging cricket talent from across the state.
