India’s Saurav Kothari successfully defended the IBSF World Billiards Championship title with a dominant performance. In the one-sided final held on Wednesday, the 41-year-old outclassed compatriot Pankaj Advani with a commanding scoreline of 1133–477, showcasing exceptional control and consistency.
Notably, Kothari had also defeated Advani in last year’s final, making this back-to-back triumph even more remarkable. The victory came as a surprise to many, given Advani’s record as a 19-time world champion. Kothari’s performance reaffirms India’s continued dominance in the global billiards arena.
