Indian cricket's latest sensation, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, is on the verge of creating history as he prepares to make his international debut at just 15 years of age. The young left-handed opener has received his first official Team India jersey ahead of the upcoming T20 series against Ireland. If he takes the field in Belfast on June 26, he will become the youngest player ever to represent India in men's international cricket, marking a significant milestone in the country's cricketing history.
Apart from his selection, Vaibhav has attracted attention for choosing the iconic jersey number '03', previously worn by former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh. Already regarded as one of India's brightest cricketing prospects, Vaibhav has enjoyed a remarkable rise through the ranks. He played a key role in India's Under-19 World Cup triumph, won the IPL 2026 Orange Cap, and emerged as the season's leading six-hitter. He also contributed significantly to India's recent ODI Tri-Series success in Sri Lanka. Expressing his emotions, Vaibhav said representing India has been his dream since he first picked up a cricket bat. With immense talent and confidence, many believe he could become the next superstar of Indian cricket.
