

JioStar is gearing up for a major expansion of the Bigg Boss franchise by launching six language editions simultaneously across India from September 2026. The new seasons will be available on the JioStar television network and JioHotstar in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Bengali. The move is being positioned as a significant milestone for India’s reality entertainment industry, bringing audiences across the country together for the Bigg Boss experience. Popular hosts Salman Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna, Kichcha Sudeep and Mohanlal are set to continue with their respective editions, while former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly’s association is expected to add another attraction.
To mark the franchise’s milestone, JioHotstar has unveiled India’s Big Reality, a data-driven coffee-table book documenting Bigg Boss’ two-decade journey, cultural influence and legacy. According to the data shared by JioStar, Bigg Boss reached more than 500 million viewers in 2025 and generated over 438 billion viewing minutes across its six language editions, with engagement growing 47% year-on-year. More than 625 brands reportedly used the platform for product launches and consumer engagement. On JioHotstar, the franchise has also recorded billions of votes and millions of live chats, highlighting the growing interaction between viewers and the show.
