Leelavathi, a busy film director, marries psychologist Ram Sethu after falling in love with him. However, her hectic work schedule creates emotional distance in their marriage. After three years, Sethu decides to divorce Leela and marry another woman named Nikola Sebastian. Refusing to accept the breakup, Leela desperately tries to save her marriage using dramatic and emotional methods. The rest of the film revolves around whether Sethu understands Leela’s love and how she attempts to rebuild their relationship.
Lavanya Tripathi delivers a sincere performance and handles emotional, action, and comedy scenes with dedication. Dev Mohan looks stylish on screen, while Mickey J. Meyer’s songs sound pleasant. Cinematographer Binendra Menon captures a few visuals beautifully, especially the hill station backdrop.
The film suffers heavily due to outdated writing and weak comedy. Many scenes feel stretched and irritating rather than entertaining. The screenplay lacks clarity, and several characters appear without proper justification. Most comedians fail to create humor, and the emotional depth also feels underdeveloped. The narration becomes chaotic in the second half.
Director Tatineni Satya fails to impress both as a writer and director. The story idea carries a decent emotional message about marriage and relationships, but the execution falls flat. Mickey J. Meyer’s music is good, though some songs feel misplaced. Production values remain average, while editing could have been sharper.
‘Sathi Leelavathi’ attempts to deliver a relationship drama with emotional depth but ends up as an outdated and exhausting experience. Despite Lavanya Tripathi’s sincere effort, weak writing and ineffective comedy pull the film down.
