Story:

Manthena Surya Narayana (Allari Naresh) is a careless young man who strongly believes that he can become a hero by unlocking a magical book. According to his belief, the book can summon the celestial nymphs Ramba (Raashi Singh), Oorvasi (Prisha Singh), and Menaka (Vishnu Priya), who will grant his wishes. However, Surya accidentally unlocks the book, bringing the three celestial beings into his life.

Things take a serious turn when Surya’s mother falls ill and is admitted to the hospital. Amid the tension, the arrival of Ramba, Oorvasi, and Menaka leads to a series of unexpected situations. How Surya deals with the three celestial women and the situations surrounding them forms the main story.

Plus Points:

Allari Naresh once again proves that comedy is one of his strengths. His scenes with senior actor Naresh, who plays a CEO, work well and provide some entertaining moments. Naresh’s attempts to impress Ramba and his comic monologue with her are among the better sequences in the film.

Raashi Singh, Prisha Singh, and Vishnu Priya look graceful on screen and perform their respective roles adequately. The decision to present the three women with a divine touch rather than merely as glamour characters works in the film’s favour. Vennela Kishore is one of the highlights as Lord Indra and delivers good comic relief whenever he appears. Srinivasa Reddy also supports Allari Naresh effectively.

Minus Points:

The routine storyline and lack of freshness are the film’s major drawbacks. The predictable narrative, weak conflict, and inconsistent comedy fail to keep the audience engaged.

The first half has a few light moments, but the second half loses momentum. The emotional and entertaining elements do not blend well, while the logic also takes a back seat.

Tarak Ponnappa’s role makes little impact, and Surbhi Puranik’s character adds little to the story. The outdated spoof-style humour also works against the film.
Technical Aspects:

Director Chandra Mohan Chintada has chosen an interesting fantasy concept, but the execution fails to do justice to it. The predictable storyline, weak conflict, and inconsistent comedy affect the film’s overall momentum. A tighter screenplay and fresher humour could have made the concept considerably more effective.

The cinematography, music, and editing are adequate but do not stand out. The second half could have benefited from sharper editing and better trimming. The production values, however, are decent and suit the scale of the film.

Verdict:

On the whole, Ramba Oorvasi Menaka is a routine fantasy comedy with very little freshness. Allari Naresh, Naresh, and Vennela Kishore put in their best efforts to keep the film engaging, while the three female leads look graceful on screen. However, predictable writing, outdated humour, unnecessary characters, and a sluggish second half work against the film. With only a handful of laughs, the movie ends up as an underwhelming watch.
