Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has made it clear that Ukraine will not hand over any territories to Russia under any circumstances. He emphasized that Ukraine does not have the authority to do so, and despite Russian pressure, they will not cede land. In a WhatsApp chat with media representatives on Monday night, Zelensky stated, “We have no right to give up land. We act only according to Ukrainian laws, the constitution, and international law.”
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has been pressuring Zelensky to accept the proposed peace plan for ending the Ukraine-Russia war. Trump suggested that Ukraine should agree to cede territories to Russia and cooperate with his plan. In this context, Zelensky is actively seeking support from European countries and recently met with Pope Leo XIV.
