YS Jagan Questions Ramayapatnam Port Project

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has raised questions over the future of the Ramayapatnam Port project. In a post on X, he alleged that the project has left the state with a financial burden of ₹3,500 crore and questioned whether it represents genuine development or a major scam. He criticized the government's handling of the project and sought clarity on its financial implications.

Defending the YSRCP government's record, Jagan stated that significant progress was achieved on three major port projects during his tenure. He said land acquisition, statutory approvals, and financial closure were completed, enabling the rapid development of Ramayapatnam Port. According to him, the project was designed to attract large-scale industrial investments and accelerate economic growth in Andhra Pradesh.
