Union Minister Bandi Sanjay launched a sharp attack on the BRS and former minister K. T. Rama Rao, questioning the party’s record during its decade long rule in Telangana. He said it was ironic that the BRS was now claiming that India lacked good colleges after being in power for ten years. Sanjay questioned why better schools and colleges were not established during the KCR government and raised concerns over student suicides, teacher shortages, vacant university posts, paper leaks, lack of funds for colleges and pending fee reimbursement dues.
Sanjay said the KCR family itself was now providing a “report card” on the former government, referring to comments about schools and colleges made by KCR’s grandchildren. He also criticised the claim that Sri Lanka was better than India, calling it disrespectful to the country. Sanjay said patriotism was a lifelong principle for him and declared that he would proudly carry both the saffron flag and the Tricolour until his last breath. He reiterated that “nation first” remained his guiding principle.
