Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has made strong remarks, saying that Russia has already started World War Three. In an interview with BBC, he said the Russia – Ukraine war is not just about borders but about global security. He warned that the conflict is affecting the world economy, oil markets and food supply. Zelenskyy also claimed that support from China, Iran and North Korea has turned the war into an international security crisis.
Zelenskyy firmly rejected any ceasefire that accepts Russian control over Crimea and the Donbas region. He said a temporary ceasefire would only give Russia time to grow stronger and attack again. Warning about Russian President Vladimir Putin, he said Putin’s goal goes beyond Ukraine and aims at expanding power globally. He urged the United States and European Union countries to increase military and financial support, including advanced air defense systems and long-range weapons.
Russia dismissed these comments as exaggerated. However, European leaders and NATO members are discussing additional support for Ukraine and debates have resumed in the US Congress. These developments show that the Russia – Ukraine war is no longer limited to two countries but is reshaping global politics and security.
