Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said his government is working with a responsibility to ensure justice for the poor and improve their quality of life. Speaking at a public meeting after participating in the NTR Bharosa pension distribution programme in Repalle, Bapatla district, he said he believes a Chief Minister should remain connected with ordinary people and understand their problems. He said the government is reaching out to people through four programmes every month — pension distribution on the first day, ‘Mee Bhoomi-Mee Hakku’ on the ninth, Swachh Andhra on the third Saturday and Sanjeevani on the fourth Saturday. He also said the coalition government had completed its 28th round of pension distribution.
Naidu said his government was working to resolve land-related disputes and address economic and welfare challenges while pursuing development. He stated that ₹76,000 crore had been spent on pensions so far and said the government was focusing on improving living standards through welfare measures and the P4 initiative. He also spoke about the government’s efforts to support families identified for assistance and said the state was being taken forward through a combination of welfare and development measures.
