BRS working president KTR has strongly criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his protest in Delhi in support of students. KTR questioned why Rahul Gandhi was not speaking out against the alleged police action against students in Telangana, where the Congress is in power. He demanded to know when Rahul Gandhi would stage a protest outside Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s Jubilee Hills residence against the alleged lathi-charge, arrests and suppression of students in Telangana. KTR raised the issue through a series of posts on X.
KTR said Rahul Gandhi should condemn police action against students regardless of whether it takes place in Delhi or Telangana. He questioned whether constitutional rights were meant only for students in Delhi and not for those in Telangana. KTR urged Rahul Gandhi to condemn the alleged incidents in Telangana and demand action against those responsible from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He accused the Congress of adopting double standards on students’ rights and called on Rahul Gandhi to take a consistent stand.
