BJP MP and actor Kangana Ranaut reacted strongly to the historic victory of the BJP–Shiv Sena Mahayuti alliance in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections, calling it a fitting response from voters to those who had wronged her in the past. Expressing happiness over ending nearly 25 years of unified Shiv Sena dominance, Kangana described the mandate as a major political shift and congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, party leaders, and workers for the landmark win.
Recalling the 2020 demolition of a portion of her Bandra office by BMC officials, Kangana launched a sharp attack on the Thackeray camp. She stated that those who harassed her, demolished her property, and threatened her to leave Maharashtra were now rejected by the people themselves. Kangana said the public had shown the right place to misogynists and nepotism-driven mafias, underlining that the court had later stayed the demolition and directed compensation for the loss she suffered.
