Visakhapatnam is ready to host the 30th CII Partnership Summit, organized jointly by the Andhra Pradesh government and the Confederation of Indian Industry. Held under the theme “Partners in Progress India’s Roadmap to a Developed Bharat-2047, the summit will take place at Andhra University Engineering College grounds with full-scale arrangements in place.
The summit is expected to welcome over 100 foreign delegates and facilitate more than 30 investment-related memoranda of understanding. From Wednesday through Saturday, the Chief Minister will meet with representatives of various organisations for one-on-one talks, roundtable discussions and thematic sessions to outline regional investment opportunities across the state.
Several projects are scheduled for foundation stone ceremonies and inaugurations during the summit. The Chief Minister arrived in the city Wednesday evening on a special flight and was given a warm reception by local leaders and officials. On arrival he held talks with Amit Kalyan, Vice-Chairman of Bharat Forge, to discuss investment prospects in the state.
On Thursday the Chief Minister will attend the India-Europe business roundtable at Novotel on the topic “India-Europe Cooperation for Sustainable Growth.” The summit will be formally inaugurated on Friday by the Vice-President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan. On Saturday morning the CM will participate in a Bloomberg media interaction, followed by foundation stone ceremonies for projects including Remand, Sri city and Indosol, and will address the media at the close of the event.
