Actor-turned-politician Vijay is positioning the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) as a key player in the upcoming Tamil Nadu elections. Having already announced his political entry, Vijay is now preparing a detailed electoral roadmap with the clear aim of unseating the DMK government led by M.K. Stalin. According to the party’s general secretary, Vijay is likely to contest from a constituency in North Chennai, a region the party claims has been neglected by the present government.
TVK has also clarified its alliance strategy, stating that it will not join either of the two major national coalitions — the NDA or the UPA — and will instead contest independently. Vijay expressed confidence that TVK will emerge as a strong alternative to traditional parties and even form the government on its own. His announcement has added fresh excitement and intensity to Tamil Nadu’s political landscape ahead of the elections.
