V.D. Satheesan Declines Additional Security Vehicle for His Convoy

Keralam Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan has declined a proposal to add another security vehicle to his official convoy. Police had considered increasing his security arrangements, but Satheesan reportedly told officials on Wednesday that the existing pilot and escort vehicles were sufficient.

The issue came to light after Satheesan noticed an additional police vehicle ahead of his convoy while attending an event in Kowdiar, Thiruvananthapuram. He expressed his displeasure to the DCP and instructed officials not to deploy unnecessary vehicles during his official journeys. Police later clarified that the vehicle spotted ahead was not actually part of his convoy and belonged to the Museum station SHO, who was also heading to the same event.
