Uttam Kumar Reddy Slams KTR Over Farmer Remarks

Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy strongly criticized BRS leader K. T. Rama Rao over his remarks on farmer welfare and paddy procurement in Telangana. He said that allegations made by the BRS leadership about farmers’ deaths and procurement issues are completely false and misleading.

The Minister stated that Telangana has achieved a historic record in paddy procurement, with 8,575 procurement centres purchasing 46.21 lakh metric tonnes of grain. He added that payments worth ₹7,841 crore were made to 6.3 lakh farmers, with 13,000 vehicles used for transport and 18.3 crore gunny bags made available. He asserted that the procurement process was transparent and pro-farmer.
