Uttam Kumar Reddy Fires Back at KTR Over Paddy Procurement Allegations

Telangana Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy strongly criticized BRS leader K. T. Rama Rao over his remarks on paddy procurement. In a press statement released on Friday, the minister accused KTR of creating confusion among farmers for political gain and distorting facts due to political frustration and disappointment.

Uttam Kumar Reddy stated that the paddy procurement process is being conducted transparently under the current government and all procurement and payment details are being disclosed regularly. He said over 20.86 crore gunny bags are available and alleged that corruption at procurement centers had occurred during the previous BRS regime. The minister urged political leaders not to indulge in “drama politics” in the name of farmers.
