At a time when tensions with Venezuela are escalating, U.S. President Donald Trump has made a key announcement. He declared that the United States is completely closing Venezuela’s airspace. He stated that all airlines, pilots, drug traffickers, and human traffickers should take note that Venezuela’s airspace has been shut down.
Yesterday, Trump said that efforts to stop Venezuela’s drug trafficking through road routes would begin very soon.
He also mentioned that nearly 85% of drug smuggling through the sea has already been prevented. And today, through an X post, he announced that Venezuela’s airspace is being closed. Meanwhile, to completely stop drug smuggling into the United States, the U.S. has deployed its army in the Caribbean islands. Additionally, the U.S. has accused Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro of being involved in drug trafficking. As a result, tensions have arisen between the two countries.
