Union Cabinet decides to rename Kerala as ‘Keralam’

In a key meeting held in Delhi, the Union Cabinet took several important decisions. The Cabinet approved the proposal to officially change the name of Kerala to “Keralam.” It also gave the green signal to the Ahmedabad Metro Phase-2 project and approved the doubling works of the Jabalpur railway line.

The Cabinet further cleared reforms in the power sector and made a significant decision to strengthen girls’ health protection nationwide. It approved free HPV vaccination using the Gardasil vaccine for 14-year-old girls. Officials believe this move will play a major role in preventing cervical cancer across the country.
