Udhayanidhi Stalin, who had earlier made controversial remarks about eradicating Sanatana Dharma, clarified his stance on Thursday amid fresh criticism. Speaking about his recent Assembly speech during the confidence vote of Chief Minister Vijay, he said that opposing Sanatana practices does not mean people should stop visiting temples.
He stated that his intention was to ensure equal rights for everyone and promote equality not only in temples but across society. Responding to criticism over his remarks, Udhayanidhi said his aim was to oppose practices that divide people in the name of Sanatana Dharma. He also asserted that he would not bow down to the criticism directed against him.
