Following the setback in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections, where the BJP–Eknath Shinde Shiv Sena alliance broke the 25-year dominance of Shiv Sena, the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) has issued its first reaction. The party asserted that the defeat does not mark the end of the political battle and vowed to continue its fight for the dignity and rights of the Marathi people.
In a post on social media platform X, Shiv Sena (UBT) stated, “The war is not over yet. This struggle will continue until Marathi people receive the respect they deserve.” The statement has sparked fresh political debate in Maharashtra, indicating that the party is gearing up for an aggressive political comeback despite the electoral loss.
