TVK gets a clear path for forming the government.

The Communist Party of India (CPI) has officially extended support to Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), further strengthening its position ahead of a possible floor test. A formal letter of support has also been submitted by the CPI leadership.

Earlier, the Congress had already declared its support to TVK, while the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M) is also expected to announce its decision soon. TVK is reportedly in talks with the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) for additional backing. The required majority is 117 seats, with TVK and allies reportedly securing key numbers through alliance partners.
