West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee strongly reacted to the recent developments within the Trinamool Congress (TMC). She alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is trying to create divisions within her party by provoking dissenting leaders. Mamata accused some leaders of lacking integrity and claimed they were influenced by the BJP. She challenged them to openly join the BJP and face her directly. She also released a video message on social media addressing the issue.
Meanwhile, TMC state president Chandrima Bhattacharya’s resignation has intensified the political turmoil. She stated that she stepped down due to a lack of trust within the party and said it was difficult to continue without confidence. Notably, she resigned within a month of taking charge. Her participation in a meeting with rebel leaders soon after her resignation has further fueled speculation.
