US President Donald Trump praised Tim Cook, highlighting his role in transforming Apple into one of the world’s most powerful companies. In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that while Steve Jobs is often associated with Apple’s success, Cook’s leadership has taken the company to even greater heights. I have always admired both Tim Cook and Steve Jobs. If Jobs had continued, Apple would still have done well, but it may not have reached the same level it achieved under Cook, Trump said.
Trump also recalled their professional relationship, noting that Cook preferred direct communication instead of relying on consultants, which helped resolve issues quickly. He praised Cook’s commitment to advancing the company’s interests.
After leading Apple for nearly 15 years, Tim Cook is expected to step down as CEO on September 1. John Ternus is set to take over the role. Cook began his career with a degree in industrial engineering and worked at IBM and Compaq before joining Apple. As Chief Operating Officer, he streamlined Apple’s supply chain and improved profitability. After the passing of Steve Jobs, he became CEO and further strengthened Apple’s global position. Cook is now expected to move into a new role as Executive Chairman.
