Former US President Donald Trump strongly criticised the Iran nuclear agreement, calling it one of the worst deals ever made by the United States. Trump alleged that the agreement, introduced during Barack Obama’s administration, allowed Iran to continue pursuing nuclear weapon capabilities. He also accused inexperienced officials from the previous administration of mishandling the negotiations and implementation of the deal.
Trump stated that his administration would not repeat the same mistakes while negotiating with Iran. He said the ongoing discussions are progressing in a structured and professional manner and stressed that there should be no rush in finalising the agreement. Trump further mentioned that restrictions around the Strait of Hormuz would remain in effect until both sides officially sign the deal. He also thanked Middle Eastern nations for their continued support and cooperation during the diplomatic process.
