TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud Challenges BRS to Debate Governance

TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud challenged the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) to an open debate comparing its decade-long rule with the Congress government's two-and-a-half years in office. Addressing the media, he alleged that BRS leaders K. T. Rama Rao and Harish Rao were attempting to mislead the public by raising issues related to employment and irrigation. He claimed that the previous BRS government failed to address the aspirations of unemployed youth and alleged that massive public funds were wasted on the Kaleshwaram Project.

Highlighting the Congress government's performance, Mahesh Kumar Goud said the administration has fulfilled a majority of its election promises. He stated that around 70,000 jobs had been provided, over ₹20,000 crore in farm loan waivers had been implemented, and welfare initiatives such as free bus travel for women, Indiramma housing, free rice distribution, education, healthcare, and free electricity had been strengthened. He asserted that the people of Telangana have not forgotten the BRS government's tenure and would judge both administrations based on their performance.
