

The Telangana Cabinet is set to meet today at 4 PM in the Secretariat under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The meeting is expected to focus on major governance issues including power sector reforms, fuel-saving measures, and financial strategies to reduce DISCOM losses. The Cabinet may also discuss the implementation of the Rythu DISCOM system from June 2 and steps to encourage solar-powered agricultural pump sets across the state.
The government is also likely to review plans for expanding solar villages on the lines of Kondareddypalli and introducing a Solar Stove Scheme. Apart from energy reforms, discussions may include crop diversification plans for farmers, the second phase of Indiramma housing construction, finalisation of Indiramma family life insurance guidelines, use of EVs in government departments, and arrangements for Telangana Formation Day celebrations.
