In the wake of sexual harassment allegations against Tirupati district Railvekoduru MLA Arav Sridhar, the three-member committee appointed by the Jana Sena Party leadership is set to commence its inquiry today. The matter has created a political sensation in the state, prompting party chief Pawan Kalyan to take this decisive step to uphold party discipline. The committee, comprising senior leaders Shivashankar, T.C. Varun and Ramadevi, will conduct a comprehensive investigation and submit its report. The proceedings will be held at the Raj Residency Hotel, Railvekoduru, starting at 11:30 AM. MLA Sridhar, who has been out of the public eye for the past eight days, is expected to personally appear before the committee to present his explanation.
Local party leaders with relevant information will also be questioned, and the party has clarified that only those summoned will be allowed to attend. The controversy escalated after a series of videos related to the MLA surfaced on social media over the past week, prompting the leadership to act swiftly to protect the party’s reputation. During an internal party meeting yesterday, Pawan Kalyan reportedly expressed serious dissatisfaction over the conduct of some MLAs, further highlighting the importance of this inquiry. To ensure a smooth investigation, authorities have deployed tight security at the Raj Residency venue, allowing only those summoned to enter. Police are on high alert to manage the possible large gathering of MLA supporters and party workers.
Based on the committee’s findings, actions may be taken against the MLA. If the allegations are found to be true, strict disciplinary measures are expected. The committee’s report will determine whether the MLA’s misconduct was genuine or the result of a political conspiracy. Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has already indicated that he will not compromise on personal conduct or party principles. Analysts suggest that the outcome of this inquiry could serve as a stern warning to other public representatives. The committee is expected to finalize its preliminary report and submit it to the leadership by this evening.
