CPI national leader K. Narayana strongly criticized both the ruling and opposition parties over the adulterated ghee controversy in Tirupati. He alleged that both sides are indulging in political drama over the issue. Despite the CBI and SIT submitting their reports, the state government has failed to take strict action against the accused and instead appointed a one-man commission, he questioned. Narayana expressed concern that Lord Venkateswara is being dragged into politics, hurting the sentiments of devotees.
He further alleged that the investigations are being prolonged deliberately to shield the real culprits. Stating that the wrongdoing is already evident, Narayana urged political parties to stop the blame game and respect devotees’ sentiments. He demanded that the government ensure strict punishment for those responsible without further delay.
