Third and Final Phase of Panchayat Elections Commences Across the State

The third and final phase of the Telangana sarpanch elections, which has been drawing statewide attention, will conclude today. Polling began at 7 AM across all polling stations in the state and will continue until 1 PM. To avoid last-minute rush, voters turned up in large numbers early in the morning to exercise their franchise.

In this final phase, polling is being conducted in 3,752 villages across 182 mandals in Telangana. A total of 12,652 candidates are contesting in this phase. Around 5,306,401 voters across the state are expected to cast their votes today.

Vote counting will begin at 2 PM, shortly after the polling process concludes. In view of the disturbances reported during the first and second phases, authorities have deployed heavy police and administrative security in sensitive areas to ensure peaceful polling.
