“They tapped my phone as I was a member of Revanth Reddy’s team,” said Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy

After appearing before the SIT in connection with the phone tapping case, Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy made serious allegations regarding illegal surveillance in Telangana. He stated that officials informed him his phone was tapped in July 2023 when he was serving as TPCC Media Committee Chairman and was closely associated with Revanth Reddy. According to him, authorities cited hard disk evidence confirming the tapping, allegedly carried out due to his association with Revanth Reddy’s team.

Kiran Kumar Reddy further alleged that during the BRS regime led by K. Chandrashekar Rao, phones of opposition leaders, family members, businesspersons, media heads, and film personalities were tapped on a large scale. He claimed even leaders like T. Harish Rao and Kavitha Kalvakuntla were affected. He accused the previous government of misusing power to maintain control, stating that thousands of phones were tapped and private conversations monitored. He demanded strict punishment for those responsible.
