YSRCP leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy made serious allegations against TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, claiming that his alleged inappropriate videos have hurt the sentiments of Hindu devotees worldwide. He stated that such controversies are unprecedented in the 94-year history of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams and demanded immediate action. He dismissed claims that the videos were created using AI and said experts had indicated that the content appeared genuine.
Reddy criticized the appointment made under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and said that if the chairman had any self-respect, he should resign immediately. He also accused him of attempting to counter the allegations through supportive media outlets instead of stepping down. Drawing comparisons to previous instances where leaders resigned over controversies, he urged the government to follow similar standards.
The YSRCP leader further alleged that attempts were being made to shift the blame onto his party and warned that more videos could surface. He questioned why no action had been taken so far and called for a thorough inquiry. The controversy has sparked political debate, with demands for transparency and accountability from temple authorities.
