Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh stated that Telugu people have been making their mark in the United States for decades. Speaking at the Telugu Diaspora meeting held in Dallas, he expressed deep appreciation for the support extended by the NRI Telugu community.
Lokesh said Telugu professionals have excelled in various fields across America and that the solidarity shown by NRIs during difficult times will always be remembered. He highlighted that Andhra Pradesh is now being recognized for its speed of development, and that the coalition government aims to create 20 lakh new jobs.
Commenting on recent political developments, he said, They said Why not 175?, but the people replied ‘Why not 11?’. He affirmed that APNRT will always assist NRIs whenever needed.
Lokesh added that the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh would work without internal conflicts for the next 15 years to ensure continuous progress. Actions against those who violated the law would proceed strictly, he said.
He recalled how NRIs across the US strongly supported Chandrababu Naidu when he was kept in jail for 53 days. The governance between 2019 and 2024, he said, caused immense damage that the public fully understood and rejected.
Lokesh attributed the coalition’s electoral success to NRI support and expressed confidence that the government would set new records in the coming years. He said that while many states have double-engine governments, Andhra Pradesh alone has a “double-engine bullet train government.”
He reiterated the coalition’s stand on “one state – one capital” and stated that decentralized development would be their core principle, expressing confidence that the coalition would remain in power for the next 15 years.
