Minister Ponnam Prabhakar stated that the issues of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) workers are under the government’s review. He described RTC employees as members of his own family and partners in the government. The minister noted that matters such as RTC merger and recognition of workers’ unions are being examined, and other concerns are being addressed in a phased manner keeping the corporation’s financial condition in mind. He emphasized that the government is committed to both institutional progress and employee welfare.
Appealing to the workers, the minister said he stands with them not only as a minister but also as a family member and a participant in the Telangana movement, and is ready for dialogue on any issue. He urged employees to avoid agitations and provoked protests while working together to protect the organization and improve passenger services. Assuring openness, he said the doors of the government are always open for workers to present their grievances, as conveyed by the Chief Minister. He added that the Telangana Praja Palana government is working on three key agendas—workers’ welfare, organizational growth, and passenger convenience.
