The contest for Rajya Sabha seats within the Andhra Pradesh NDA alliance has taken a significant turn, with the leadership reportedly deciding not to allocate even a single seat to the BJP. Despite requests from BJP president Madhav, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is said to have firmly declined. As per internal discussions, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is likely to take three seats, while one seat may be allotted to the Jana Sena Party, reflecting the alliance’s current power dynamics.
Meanwhile, there is strong speculation that Lingamaneni Ramesh could be nominated from Jana Sena. However, discussions within the party suggest that the Rajya Sabha seat might ultimately go to a TDP-backed candidate, sparking debate among Jana Sena members. Several prominent leaders from TDP, including Sana Satish, Kilaru Rajesh, Bhashyam Ramakrishna, Galla Jayadev, Kambhampati Rammohan, TD Janardhan, Reddeppagari Srinivas Reddy, Varla Ramaiah, and S. A. Sharif, are actively vying for these కీలక positions.
