Tension has resurfaced in Tadipatri of Anantapur district after police denied permission for programmes planned by both the TDP and YSRCP. The police said permissions had not been granted for public meetings, gatherings or rallies. YSRCP leader Kethireddy Peddareddy was scheduled to lead a protest over alleged irregularities in the DSC recruitment process, while TDP leader Asmith Reddy had planned a door-to-door party programme.
With both political programmes denied permission, police deployed a large number of personnel across Tadipatri as a precautionary measure. Security was tightened at key locations to prevent any untoward incidents. Police warned that strict action would be taken against anyone conducting meetings, rallies or other programmes without permission.
