Tamil Nadu politics has turned intense after TVK, led by Vijay, emerged as the single largest party in the assembly elections. The party secured 108 seats out of 234, falling short of the majority mark of 118. Meanwhile, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam won 59 seats and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam secured 47 seats.
To form the government, TVK needs support from at least 10 more members. The Indian National Congress won 5 seats and has shown willingness to support Vijay. Other parties, including PMK with 5 seats, left parties with 4, and smaller groups with 2 seats, are also being considered. Discussions are already underway, and several leaders are visiting Vijay’s residence as efforts to form the government intensify.
