At the Ramoji Excellence Awards ceremony in Hyderabad, both Telugu Chief Ministers Chandrababu Naidu and Revanth Reddy came together to remember and honor the late media icon Ramoji Rao. Their speeches were filled with admiration, emotion, and deep respect for the values he stood for throughout his life.
Chandrababu Naidu spoke about Ramoji Rao as a man with extraordinary influence, someone who could make major things happen with a single call, yet never used his power for personal benefit. He shared that in all the years he worked with him, Ramoji never asked for even a small favor. Chandrababu said Ramoji’s commitment was always to the people, not to power or privilege, and when the political opposition weakened in Andhra Pradesh, Ramoji stepped forward through his media to highlight public issues with courage and moral responsibility.
Revanth Reddy shared a light-hearted but meaningful memory from 2009. Before the united Andhra Pradesh election results, he and his colleagues visited Ramoji Rao hoping he might recommend them for cabinet positions. Revanth recalled that Ramoji immediately understood why they had come even before they spoke. With clarity and firmness, Ramoji told them he had never recommended anyone for ministerial posts and reminded them that real political growth comes through service as MLAs, not by chasing portfolios. Revanth said this advice stayed with him and helped shape his political maturity.
Both Chief Ministers agreed that Ramoji Rao’s legacy is built not on authority, but on integrity, discipline, moral strength, and an unwavering commitment to society. His contributions to journalism, cinema, business, and public life continue to inspire people across generations. The event became a heartfelt tribute to a man whose values still guide millions.
