Speaking at a public meeting in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu stressed the importance of teaching children about Indian epics and cultural values instead of focusing only on Western superheroes.
He said Indian mythological heroes are far greater than fictional characters like Superman or Batman. Lord Hanuman symbolizes unmatched strength, Arjuna represents supreme warrior skills, and Lord Rama stands as the greatest example of an ideal human being. The concept of Ram Rajya, he explained, reflects justice, righteousness, and ideal governance.
He urged parents and educators to narrate stories from the Ramayana and Mahabharata, which are richer than modern fantasy films. Recalling N. T. Rama Rao’s contribution, he said NTR revived interest in epics through cinema and upheld values both on screen and in politics.
Naidu concluded by highlighting India’s developmental journey under Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling upon youth to innovate and express confidence that India will emerge as a global superpower.
