Revanth Reddy has outlined an ambitious global vision for Telangana, stating that the state's competition is not with other Indian states but with leading economic powers such as China, Japan and South Korea. Speaking at the The Hindu Huddle 2026 in Bengaluru, the Chief Minister said Telangana is drawing inspiration from these countries while striving to emerge as a global manufacturing and investment destination. He emphasized that his vision is centered on the “China+1” strategy, positioning Telangana as a key alternative for global businesses seeking diversified supply chains.
Reddy said the government is focused on building a strong industrial ecosystem across sectors including pharmaceuticals, electric vehicles, defence manufacturing, aerospace and advanced technologies. He reiterated that Telangana aims to attract large-scale international investments and create world-class infrastructure to support economic growth. His remarks have generated significant discussion on social media, with supporters applauding the state's ambitious aspirations while critics questioning the practicality of competing with established manufacturing giants.
