BJP MP M. Raghunandan Rao has questioned the Telangana government over reports of power cuts in the state, demanding that officials provide clear answers to the public and resolve electricity-related problems at the ground level. He said people were seeking explanations for the interruptions in power supply and urged the government to address their concerns rather than leave them unanswered. The MP also criticised the government over what he described as unfulfilled promises, arguing that basic public services such as reliable electricity supply should receive priority.
Raghunandan Rao also responded to allegations surrounding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Referring to Kondareddypally, he challenged the government to disclose how many votes had been removed there. He maintained that the SIR process was intended to remove duplicate entries and the names of deceased voters from electoral rolls. His remarks have brought the issues of electricity supply, government accountability and voter-list revision into the political debate in Telangana.
