

The Telangana Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, held a meeting at the Assembly Committee Hall on Monday evening, lasting for nearly three hours. Several important decisions were taken during the meeting. The cabinet approved bills related to gig workers, employee parent welfare, and advocate protection. It also discussed the issue of hate speech protection and approved the report submitted by an independent expert committee on caste census.
Additionally, the cabinet approved the formation of a sub-committee to frame guidelines for the Rohith Vemula Act. The sub-committee will be headed by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, with Damodar, Sridhar Babu, Uttam Kumar Reddy, and Ponnam Prabhakar as members. The cabinet also approved a parental support bill, aiming to strengthen welfare and social protection measures in the state.
