Andhra Pradesh’s Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh is giving a new direction to the education sector. In a remarkable initiative, he has announced that 78 best teachers from the state will visit Singapore from November 27 to December 2 to study modern teaching practices and innovative learning methods. During a review meeting held at his Undavalli residence, Lokesh directed officials to make all necessary arrangements. He said, “Our teachers will visit top schools in Singapore, observe their teaching systems, classroom environment, and submit a detailed report suggesting ways to improve our education standards.” Lokesh had earlier requested CM Chandrababu Naidu to send top-performing teachers to countries like Finland and Singapore — and that vision is now becoming a reality.
Meanwhile, around 100 government school students from Andhra Pradesh left for Delhi for an educational tour. They will visit the National Science Museum, Nehru Planetarium, and Russian Centre of Science and Culture, gaining hands-on exposure to science and technology. Lokesh wished the students a safe journey and encouraged them to “return with new knowledge and experiences.”
