

Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that the government is committed to eliminating Maoist presence that is obstructing the country’s development. He expressed confidence that the target would be achieved by the end of this month. Shah made these remarks while addressing the 57th Raising Day celebrations of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) held at Mundali in Cuttack, Odisha on Friday.
He praised the CISF personnel for their significant contribution to anti-Maoist operations and said the force has been rendering commendable service in states such as Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana. On the occasion, Shah also released a special CISF publication. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, CISF Director General Praveer Ranjan, and several senior officials attended the event.
