A Zoom meeting chaired by TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud was attended by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, AICC secretary Sachin Sawant, ministers and parliamentary constituency in-charges. Revanth Reddy issued key directions to party leaders over voter deletions during the SIR process. He said the situation had arisen due to a lack of proper responsibility at the grassroots level and directed in-charge ministers to conduct reviews in their districts for two days. Assembly constituency in-charges were asked to stay in their constituencies for four days, identify issues and ensure their resolution.
Meenakshi Natarajan urged the Congress to take the reported deletion and classification of voters seriously. She asked Booth Level Agents to carefully verify every voter and ensure that eligible citizens retain their voting rights. MLAs, MPs, party leaders and BLAs were directed to work in coordination, while inactive coordinators and BLAs should be replaced with proactive workers. Revanth Reddy also called on the party to take the issue of voter deletions to the people and remain vigilant ahead of future elections.
