RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav received major relief from the Supreme Court in the fodder scam case. The apex court refused to cancel the bail granted to Yadav, rejecting the petition filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) seeking its cancellation. The decision allows his existing bail status to continue.
However, the Supreme Court directed that the hearing of Yadav’s appeal against the trial court’s verdict should be expedited. The court stated that further proceedings in the case should continue as per the established legal process.
